Firefox mobile – Fennec

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Mozilla are days away from releasing their mobie version of Firefox codenamed Fennec. This is great news although it will only be available for Nokia’s N900 phone to begin, other handset versions released later.

I was intrigued what a Fennec was and a quick google search popped up what can only be descibed as the cutest mammal ever! Who wouldn’t want this little guy as a logo on their mobile ?!?

The Wilhelm Scream

Monday, December 14th, 2009

This is a compilation of the Wilhelm Scream used in countless films going way back to the fifties. I first heard about it on the BBC show QI and that led me to find the compilation above.

It’s odd hearing them all together like this… seems to be fake but when you watch back the movie they are indeed there.

Proper Transformers Game!

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Finally, a form of Transformers entertainment that feeds right into my central nervous system because it’s not based on any crappy Michael Bay robots.

Game Informer picked up on this in an exlusive article and was posted earlier on All Spark. As you can see from the above image this is a game for an older audience who remember G1 Transformers before… well before.

So what do you we know? Well here’s a handy list:

  • It will be 3rd person like Gears of War.
  • You will have A.I controlled ‘bots’ assisting you.
  • You can play either as the Autobots or the Decepticons.
  • You can play as both land and air vehicles.
  • There will be some kind of online mode.
  • Optimus will be a red truck
  • Megatron will be a tank

This has the potential to look amazing, especially if they go down the War Within route for the designs and then concentrate their talents on the gameplay.

One step closer to a TF reboot – I hope so!

Michael Bay should take notes on this one. Thanks to Maketh for the headsup.
