Kowloon walled city
Monday, August 1st, 2011Grand panorama of the Kowloon walled city. Amazing level of detail and complexity so I recomend seeing the full image as this is only a tiny part! The actual city was demolished only recently in 1994.

Friday, July 8th, 2011An amazing piece of work from Matt Abbiss. Enjoy!

Grand Zombie Designs
Monday, May 2nd, 2011If you’re a right minded geek, you’ll have your zombie plan already sketched out in your mind – where to go (none of your business), who you can trust (no one) and your weapon of choice (axe).
But no matter how much you think your safe house is the best place to hold up, you should contact KWK Promes and get yourself one of these, “The Safe House”

That’s right, hit the panic button and the building trasforms itself into an impenetrable concrete bunker! Here’s the sales pitch.
“The most essential item for our clients was acquiring the feeling of maximum security,” begins the designers’ website in the summary of the structure. The house, with its movable walls, has only one entrance, which is located on the second floor after crossing a drawbridge.
My only piece of advice if this is for you, don’t forget to stock up on food before you hit the button.

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011“Conductor“, by Alexander Chen has used New York’s publicly available subway schedule API to create a musical visualisation of the Big Apple’s underground network.
Using HTML5, a wee bit of JavaScript and some Flash the visual trickery extends into the audible whenever a line passes over another, resulting in… well take a look for yourself or watch the video below.
